Genuinely, I love this series. This book irritates me badly. The absolute zero confidence in Joe, repeatedly, is a frustratingly annoying plot crutch that just makes Joe seem like a moron instead of the people’s kirk. Reed is a terrible second In Command character. Col chang at least adhered to conducting himself professionally.

I’m not sure what’s up with the audio but it cuts off for a short chunks (few seconds to a minute) throughout but there’s a good 10 minutes chunk of silence about 40 minutes from the end. I’m so close to the finish and think I’ll need to buy it as I can’t leave it without knowing!!
