5 Stars for all of the previous books in this series. This one, though, the best I can do is 3 stars. Minor technical issues aside, the big problem with this one is the character of the US President. He is written as a democrat, a veteran, a patriot, and a decent guy. It’s just not believable.

I notice how writers must depict the President as a democrat in order to pass the editor’s desk. If they were a Republican, the book would wind up in the trash bin. Sad but true. The public is craving conservative heroes; but the best the publishers can do is make the top guy a democrat so the book is palatable to the sheep.
