Bad title. The Soviet Union wasn’t Russia aloone. More Ukrainian and Belarusian soldiers died than American, Brithish and French ones combined. By the way, Russians were the most numerous Nazi-collaborated nation from the USSR.

This book is a companion to this video series produced jointly by a Russian and a UK production company in 1995 after the breakup of the Soviet Union. This companion book was published in 1997 and shares the name of the video. In that context, what do you suggest the video series should be called given that Russia just re-emerged as an independent country from the Soviet Union less than 5 years before it was produced? The Soviet War? The Ukranian War? Did the people of Russia not have the Siege of Leningrad and Stalingrad, the attack on Moscow, Kursk?
