The Vietnam War was a tragic and dismal failure—at least that is what the mainstream media and history books would have you believe. Yet, Phillip Jennings sets the record straight in The Politically Incorrect Guide™ to the Vietnam War. In this latest “P.I.G.”, Jennings shatters culturally-accepted myths and busts politically incorrect lies that liberal pundits and leftist professors have been telling you for years. The Vietnam War was the most important—and successful—campaign to defeat Communism. Without the sacrifices made and the courage displayed by our military, the world might be a different place. The Politically Incorrect Guide™ to the Vietnam War reveals the truth about the battles, players, and policies of one of the most controversial wars in U.S. history.

I haven’t read the book but the marketing is a cynical play to further divide peoples in the United States, injecting a false narrative about some kind of “leftist” propaganda campaign to suggest the US lost the war in Vietnam.
The current state of Vietnam well supports the idea that the US “won” the Vietnam War. Having traveled extensively in Vietnam I can tell you that Americans are borderline beloved there. Vietnamese love American culture. They prize English as a secondary language. Looking at Vietnam today one could argue that the US won the Vietnam War. One could also argue that the state of Vietnam today also suggests that the war was never necessary.
The Vietnamese have hated the Chinese for a thousand years. They had no interest in being a puppet for Beijing or Moscow. They would have fought off any foreign influence who sought to take up where the French had left off.
It seems like the only point of this book is to piss people off, serving up Straw Men and then pitting Americans against each other. The Vietnam War was a military and cultural tragedy for everyone involved - mostly the Vietnamese. Yes, the casualties on the Vietnamese side have been underreported, not to discredit the US military, but to hide numbers that are grotesque. For every US soldier KIA, 20 NVA or Viet Cong soldiers were killed.
This book - if the description can be trusted - is indistinguishable from propaganda designed to destabilize American society. Phillip Jennings, once a US Marine, now doing good works (intentionally or otherwise) for the Kremlin.
Dude, WTF?

The Vietnamese have every reason to be pleasant to Americans - they won. These people have had far harder lives than any American can ever imagine, and they’ve survived and are now thriving. 3 years living there myself taught me this.
This book is fictional bullsh1t for weeping crackers who don’t want to believe their beloved military got their ass soundly handed to them.
