This is a pretty good book, not steam punk like the cover might indicate, more alternate reality in the Turtledove mode. Better than average writing.
“Ripping good yarn”.
I’m an older “reader” with a slight hearing lose. British parent, grew up with Anglo-indian neighbours, East Indian co-workers, so accents less of a problem. If not I couldn’t listen to it at this low fidelity.
Higher bit rate equals better “legibility”.
