Thank you. Although, I would argue that Hitler’s rise and the growth of national socialism was not in any way surprising. Hitler was simply taking advantage of basic human nature. To a less extreme degree, politics all over the world still use many of the same techniques. Narrative control, the blaming of the political other, the promise of redemption through government, the appeal to cultural identity, etc.

Many parallels b/w Nazi Germany and our current Democratic Party. Hitler used many of the same ideas for his rise to power by looking at the Democratic Party in the early part of the 20th Century.
Killing cousins so to speak.

apollo60 it took decades to make America into the S-hole it is today. Half of the time conservatives were in power. So were they corrupt thieves or total incompetents or both?
If what you and your repub buddies say is true about the Dems, why continue to support losers who were incapable of stopping them? In power half the time and they did NOTHING to stop them from ruing America. That makes them criminally incompetent and, yet you continue to vote for them and encourage other UI’s to do the same. That tells me exactly what kind of boy-man you are.
