Countless have been the biographies of successful fighter pilots of World War Two. Yet, the truth is that only a small percentage of fighter pilots were responsible for the vast majority of victories. Most fighter pilots never even damaged an enemy aircraft, much less shot it out of the sky. Some never even saw the enemy throughout their entire operational flying days. One such was Warrant Officer Douglas Adams.
